The OTR Educational Policy group developed a proposal to change the withdrawal deadline from week 8 to week 10. The additional two weeks will allow students more time to receive feedback from instructors and make more informed decisions about dropping a class.
Pending one more approval step from the President's Policy Committee (PPC), students on the Morris, Rochester, and Twin Cities campus will have through the 10th week of the term to drop a class without college approval. The Duluth campus has also approved this change, and the Crookston campus has chosen to remain with the current 8th week drop deadline. So far, this is on track for a fall 2014 implementation.
