Testing has begun. Functional verification of the UPG environments was successfully executed and functional testing is in progress. Approximately three weeks of testing will be done in each of the environments: UPG, TST, and QAT.
One April 1 and 2, the University will upgrade to PeopleTools version 8.55. This upgrade ensures that our PeopleSoft systems remain stable and secure, and we retain vendor support. Aside from downtime during the weekend, no significant impact is expected for end users, and no action is required as a result. All events that occur the week of April 3 will have been thoroughly tested in the three test passes.
Campus Solutions PeopleSoft 9.2 upgrade
While the PeopleTools upgrade is occurring, there is still planning going on for the Campus Solutions 9.2 upgrade. Things that are being worked on include “rough-cut” planning of timeline, resources that may be required, identification of “pain points” that may be addressed during the upgrade, fit/gaps of the current delivered PeopleSoft 9.2 Image 3. OIT is also estimating the time that will be required to migrate current modification from current 9.0 to 9.2 (which must be done before testing cycles can begin). Planning is also underway for the Kick off meeting, and enterprise communication in early April.
